All are welcome at our worship services, regardless of previous religious affiliation or even a lack of affiliation. From September through June, we have Sunday services at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. During the summer, beginning June 22,  we have a combined service at 9:00 a.m. Our 8:30 service is a more intimate and informal gathering lasting about 45 minutes. Our 10:00 a.m. service, which lasts about an hour, has more music led by our choir and is more family oriented. We serve communion on the first Sunday of every month.  Everyone is welcome to participate in our communion services.

Something New!!  Sunday afternoon Come As You Are services, starting January 11. Details here…

Outreach Mission

The First Congregational Church of Darien’s Board of Christian Outreach puts faith into action by addressing the needs of others. Our first priority is helping those who lack the most immediate, basic necessities, whether locally, nationally, or internationally. We promote permanent and systemic improvements in people’s lives by contributing both financially and physically to hands-up programs.

“Those (He) who refresh(es) others will themselves (himself) be refreshed” — Proverbs 11:24-35

Christmas2 v2

Our Care Circle group shares and supports church members and friends in times of difficulty or celebration, coming not as counselors or psychologists, but as friends and members of our extended church family.

The Care Circle Ministry specially trains volunteers from our congregation to augment pastoral care provided to our church community by our clergy and by the long-established Caring Committee. Training emphasizes active listening skills and awareness of wider community resources.

Anyone who wishes to receive the Care Circle’s services or who might be interested in becoming part of the group may contact the group’s Chair Ella Long or the Church office at 203-655-0491.
