Pilgrim Press photoReverend Dale Rosenberger – Senior Minister

A native of Michigan, Rev. Rosenberger earned a B. Phil. in psychology from Thomas Jefferson College of Allendale, Michigan in 1975 and his M. Div. from Yale University Divinity School in 1979.  Dale has served local churches in Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, Cape Cod, and two here in Connecticut. He is father to his two daughters now residing in Colorado and Manhattan.  Dale has authored three books, the first on spiritual authority, the second on how to do Christian outreach, and most recently, a practical theology of shared intimacy for couples.  Dale has led 12 Habitat for Humanity short-term mission work trips building homes with the poor, resulting in 86 homes in seven different Latin American lands.  Dale and Dr. Cecile Windels, a local pediatrician, were wed in our Meetinghouse in the spring of 2013.

Gary

Gary Morello, Associate Minister

Gary was born in Westchester County, White Plains, NY.  He received his undergraduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned his M.Div. at New York Theological Seminary.  Gary has worked as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Cerebral Palsy of Westchester in which the organization’s mission is to serve adults and children with developmental disabilities.  He collaborated with Crossing Thresholds as the Director of Programs — building schools in the Kibera Slum of Nairobi, Kenya.  Currently, he has committed his life to serving people in the communities in which he ministers.  Gary has a passion to help people find purpose through the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.  He and his wife Erica, a registered nurse who works for a local pediatric practice in Darien, reside in the Associate Minister’s residence at FCC.

DennisDennis Hanlon – Co-Church Administrator – Wednesday,  Thursday, Friday, 8 to 4

Dennis has served as our church Administrator since March 2007. He attended Northeastern University and Mercy College and pursued a degree in Public Administration & Emergency Management. He has worked in the field of church administration/facilities management for over 20 years. Dennis is responsible for our church administration, working closely with the pastor and supervision of assigned staff.
Dennis offers free Notary Public services to church members. Just contact Dennis to set up an appointment.

Pam_optPamela Toason, Co-Church Administrator (M/T)

Pam shares responsibility for our church administration with Dennis Hanlon (W/Th/F), working closely with the pastor and supervision of assigned staff.  Pam resides in Norwalk, CT.  She is the mother of two and grandmother of one.  She graduated Rider University with a degree in Bilingual Secretarial Studies.  Pam has simultaneously worked in the telecommunications field for 17 years and as an Office Manager for a local church for 15 years.  She is currently a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church where she runs their Social Media Department.  Pam is honored that God has given her gifts and talents to assist churches with their office management.

Dan_optDan Hague, Music Director

Having been our Bass Section leader in the choir for 12 years, Dan assumed the position of Music Director in 2005.  He has a BS in Music Education and a Masters of Music in voice.  Dan coordinates the musical life of our church, including both the senior and junior choirs, and is caretaker of our musical instruments.

MaxMax Pakhomov – Organist

Max became our organist in September 2008.  He is a graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory and brings many years of musical talent to our Sunday services.  In addition to being a piano and voice instructor, he performs with The Westchester Chorale and is principal accompanist of the Bronx Opera Company.  He formerly served as music director for Rugby Congregational Church in Brooklyn, NY.

mary_jo_optMary Jo Colman – Church School Director

Mary Jo oversees our Church School program for children ages newborn through 7th grade each Sunday morning.  During the week, Mary Jo is a preschool teacher in New Canaan, and regularly incorporates her drama background into her classroom lessons.  She is bilingual in Spanish and some conversational Japanese, and has a professional background in flamenco, character, and ballet.  Mary Jo currently resides in Norwalk with her three children.

KarenKaren Hansen – Church Treasurer

As a long time church member, Karen has served as our church Treasurer since 2004. She has a BA in Psychology and BS in Counselor Education from Alfred University as well as an MBA in Finance from the University of New Haven.  Karen is responsible for all receipts and disbursements as well as maintaining the financial records of the church.

TeriTeri Manning – Nursery School Director

Teri became Director of the First Congregational Nursery School in June 2007.  Having served as our former Church School Director and teacher at the school for 12 years, Teri brings a wealth of experience to her position.  She is a longstanding church member and holds a BS in Early Childhood Development from Southern Connecticut State University.  Teri is responsible for daily oversight of the Nursery School’s 120 students and a 20 person staff.
