OUTREACH    In MAY We Help

The Board of Outreach is sponsoring its first month-long project to concentrate our giving to one particular agency in the area.  This year we will focus on the Norwalk Emergency Shelter, where homeless find refuge in the form of a safe, warm place to sleep and eat.  The shelter sleeps 95 people and offers case management services to all that stay at the shelter as well as anyone else in the community in need.  It is open every day of the year, serving 3 meals a day (that's 12,000 meals a month!)

HOW can we help? The Parish Hall stage is set during the month of May until Memorial Day weekend for collections of the following:

.    Seasonal gently worn clothing & shoes for men, women & children plus NEW underwear, socks and summer sandals

·       Bed linens: twin sheets & pillowcases, double size blankets as well as favorite characters sleeping bags for children

·       Washcloths & Towels  for bathing & summer activities

·       Non-Perishable Foods to fill their pantry

·       Almost new small toys, educational games & books

·       Toiletries for men, women & children (diapers included)

·       Offer to volunteer to sort clothing, help serve a meal or do handyman work at the shelter

·       Financial contributions also accepted

FROM HOME TO SHELTER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
