The First Congregational Church of Darien

United Church of Christ

A community of faith since 1737

Our church is open to everyone wherever they are on their spiritual journey.  We are a traditional Congregational church with worship in our historic church every Sunday.  Please join us.

Worship Services

All are welcome at our worship services, regardless of previous religious affiliation or even a lack of affiliation. From September through June, we have Sunday services at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.  During the summer we have a combined service at 9:00 a.m.  Our 8:30 service is a more intimate and informal gathering lasting about 45 minutes.  Our 10:00 a.m. service, which lasts about an hour, has more music led by our choir and is more family oriented. We serve communion on the first Sunday of every month — everyone is welcome to participate in our communion services.

Something New!! Sunday afternoon Come As You Are services, starting January 11. Details here:

Bible Study

Join us for our weekly Bible Study, based on the upcoming Sunday’s scriptural text, upon which Dale will preach.  This is a seminar-style Bible Study, with all invited to contribute and participate. It is held each Thursday 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., in the Morehouse Room. Check back each Monday for that week’s scripture passage. Everyone is welcome! No prerequisites required!
