[SAY]: Jesus’ tomb was in a beautiful garden. He was buried there Friday, Saturday, and Saturday night. But on Sunday morning, he was gone. He was alive again, because of God’s power.
There were probably some animals in the garden. Do you think they heard a sound when Jesus rose up out of the grave? Do you think they saw him? There was a big stone rolled in front of Jesus’ grave, like the opening to a cave. The Bible tells us that the stone rolled away when Jesus came out. What do you think the animals felt when they saw this?
Let’s make some poses like animals, and see how long we can hold the poses. Try to hold each pose for at least 15 seconds, and maybe make a “surprised” look on your face as the stone rolls away from the tomb, and Jesus comes out!

PEACE
Harmony, security, and completeness.
Peace is like the feeling of a river moving calmly through the trees. Peace is like cuddling with your favorite pet or stuffed animal. When do you feel peace? How do you think God gives you peace? Can you give peace to others?

God Sightings
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”9229″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
If you are comfortable, light a real candle and pass it carefully around from child to child as they share their God Sightings.
[SAY]: Let’s do our God Sightings! This candle represents that God sightings light up the world with love. A God Sighting is something you see or do that reminds you of God’s love. Make sure your God Sighting includes God’s Love! [Start by sharing your God Sighting and allow others to share]

Story Questions
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Jesus was God on earth. What does that mean to you?
Think about Easter Week. First we celebrated Maundy Thursday, then Good Friday, then Easter. If you could add another special day to Easter Week, what would it celebrate?
When flowers come out of the dead, dark ground, we celebrate the joy and beauty of new life. Jesus rose up from the dead, coming out of the dark grave, and we celebrate that too! What else can we celebrate right now, even though things are sometimes hard?
How can you look for New Life during isolation?

Easter Phrase
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
[SAY]: On Easter Sunday, many churches do a “Call And Response” saying that goes like this:
Minister: "He Is Risen!" People: "He Is Risen Indeed!"
Kind of like a “Marco!” “Polo!” situation. Make up your own Easter “Call And Response”. Say something about Jesus, about spring, or about the love that you have for others, and make up a response that everyone has to say back to you. You can do different ones for every person in your family, or the same one for everyone! Here’s another example:
Mrs. G: "It's Easter, Pastor Ben!" Pastor Ben: "Hop Hop Hop!"

PRAYER TIME
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
Dear Jesus,
As winter turns to spring outside
Spring comes in our hearts too.
May sadness turn to joy
May hopelessness turn to hope
May darkness turn to light.
Amen.
