In the Christian faith, the three points of the Trinity knot represent the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In its original form of vesicae pisces, it incorporates the fish which is a popular Christian symbol. Occasionally, you may see the Trinity knot enclosed within a circle as a means of emphasizing unity or eternity. If you are comfortable, light a real candle and pass it carefully around from child to child as they share their God Sightings.
[SAY]: It’s time for God Sightings!
Let’s try some new ones.
- Think of a God Sighting that has to do with a person.
- Think of a God Sighting you saw in nature.
- Think of a God Sighting you hope for the world. The candle represents the fact that GOD lights up the world with these special gifts: our God Sightings.

The Great Commission: Make Disciples!

Post-Story Discussion
[SAY:] In the past few weeks, we have learned many things about Jesus’ last days on earth. We learned about Palm Sunday, about Jesus’ Death and Resurrection, about Jesus’ last few days with his disciples, about when Jesus appeared to some disciples on the Road to Emmaus, about Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit, and about Jesus going up into heaven. We have also learned about when the Holy Spirit came to the disciples.
That’s a lot!
This week’s story mentions Jesus again. Jesus is pretty important. And he gave us a pretty important job to do after he went back to heaven. He said to “Go and make disciples”.
Remember, Disciple means learner. when Jesus says “Go and Make Disciples”, it means that he wants us to help teach others about Jesus’ ways. About love, truth, peace, and joy. About the truth that everyone is a beloved child of God.
How can you do this?[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_empty_space][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1591480746189{background-color: #ededed !important;}”][vc_column_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading text=”Prayer Time!” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center|color:%2361067a” google_fonts=”font_family:Aldrich%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
Your love oh Lord
Reaches to the Heavens
Your faithfulness
Stretches to the skies
Your Righteousness
Is like the mighty mountains
Your Justice flows
Like the ocean’s tide.
