We will hold Christmas Eve Services in person outdoors at 3:00 (Family Service), and in person and livestreamed at 5:00 (Traditional Service) and 10:00 pm (Lessons and Carols).

A Christmas Gift for ALL of us! To help bring us together as a community, we will offer a short program of seasonal music, stories and thoughts from one church family to all of ours! Put aside the hectic activity. Turn off the news. Be still. Receive the gift of the season in this new and meaningful way.

Candlelight Christmas Concert

Welcome All Families and Friends
Candlelight Christmas Concert: An Evening of Festive Holiday Music! Featuring our First Congregational Church Soloists, with Maxim Pakhomov, Accompanist and Soloist, and Music Director Daniel Hague.
The beneficiary for this event was scheduled to be the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants (CIRI), the state’s preeminent provider of services to immigrants, refugees, survivors of torture, survivors of human trafficking, and unaccompanied minors. Advent Exploration with Rev. Denise Terry
Thursdays, December 10th and 17th at 1:00 pm
The Light Will Shine! Join Denise and friends as we discover new light in traditional seasonal scriptures and themes during this very special Advent time. Casual, open discussion via zoom, with a few readings and some shared perspectives. No Bible Study experience needed… everyone is welcome! It is a nice lunch break if you are working at home or just taking a pause from your busy day. Please register to receive the Zoom link.
Paddle Tennis Event – December 12 at 7 pm
Join us for an evening of paddle play and instruction from FCCD’s finest! We will be utilizing four courts, with three 45-minute sign up sessions. Come to play, learn, or just get some fresh air for a good cause!
Suggested donation is $50 or 1 Dove to support local families in need during the Christmas season through FCCD’s contribution to the P2P Dove program. Invite your friends! Sign up and see details here.
Shadows And Hope Of Christmas

You are invited to join us in the Meeting House or Livestream for a very special “Shadows and Hope of Christmas” service. If you, or someone you know, will be experiencing the holidays differently this year, following an important loss, we encourage you to join us, and to invite your friends and family to join us, for this special time of worship. Our Deacons have done an amazing job with COVID-safety protocols, including spacing us in the pews and setting strict capacity limits, with attendance by advance registration. For those of you new to Access: Access prepares students for their confirmation years and helps them to feel confident, well-versed, and flexible in their knowledge of the Bible and faith vocabulary.
