Today’s story is a combination review/meditation of everything we have learned since we went into our home-orders. Enjoy!

Today’s meditation combines everything we have learned since the stay-at-home orders began in March. Between each section, the kiddos answer, “Thank you, God!”

Imagine if you woke up every day this week and thought about Jesus first. You might not think so much about all of the other worries. You would know that Jesus is with you.

Thank you, God!

Think of someone famous or powerful that you know. Did you know that they also have to stay at home too, just like you? They also have troubles, sicknesses, and hurts. They also have to ask for help. Everyone has to ask for help sometimes.

Thank you, God!

Some people think that adults are most important. But Jesus doesn’t think that. Jesus thinks that EVERYONE is important, whether they are adults, or children, or babies.

Thank you, God!

If Jesus was here today, how do you think you would feel about him? How do you think our town would feel about him? We are thankful for Jesus.

Thank you, God!

When flowers come out of the dead, dark ground, we celebrate the joy and beauty of new life. Jesus rose up from the dead, coming out of the dark grave, and we celebrate that too!

Right now is a hard time in our world. Even though we are all trying to follow Jesus together, sometimes we are going to make mistakes, and that’s ok.

Thank you, God!

Dear Jesus, Thank you for your messages, your promises, and your good words. May we always recognize when you show up. You are everywhere!

God watches out for us, just like a shepherd watches out for their sheep.

Thank you, God!

Jesus loves. Jesus forgives. Jesus heals. Jesus tells others about God. When we do these things, we are following Jesus’ way.

Thank you, God!

Words are powerful, and music is powerful! Words can make someone happy or sad. They can make someone feel close to God or far away from God. They can make someone feel loved or disliked. God made music and words! May we use them to help people feel loved.

Thank you, God!

God’s Holy Spirit does not make us afraid. Instead, it makes us confident in God. When we are talking about the Holy Spirit of God, we are talking about God being there for us, helping us to make right choices and to walk in Jesus’ footsteps.

Thank you, God!

The first church ever wasn’t perfect. But they tried to follow God the best they could with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Thank you, God!

Remember, Disciple means learner. when Jesus says “Go and Make Disciples”, it means that he wants us to help teach others about Jesus’ ways. About love, truth, peace, and joy. About the truth that everyone is a beloved child of God.

Do you have what it takes to stand up for good when others can’t or won’t? If you do, you have courage.
