As Reverend Anthony takes parental leave from January through the end of March, we are grateful to welcome Rev. Dean Lindsey to provide preaching and pastoral coverage during this season.
Dean is an experienced and highly recommended Presbyterian minister and a current member of the First Congregational Church of Fairfield, where his pastor, the Rev. Vanessa Rose, encouraged him to connect with us. We are thankful for this connection and for Dean’s willingness to serve our congregation during this important time.
A native of New Orleans, Dean’s ministry journey has taken him across the country, including pastoral service in Texas, Virginia, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Peggy, met while studying at Yale Divinity School, and together they have shared a life rooted in ministry, care, and service.
In addition to his pastoral background, Dean currently serves in an administrative leadership role with the Presbytery of Southern New England. In retirement, he continues to learn and lead—taking courses at the Yale School of the Environment focused on climate change leadership and urban forestry, serving on his town’s Conservation Commission, and helping organize volunteer efforts to care for local parks and public land. An avid cyclist and nature-lover, Dean brings a deep appreciation for creation into both his life and ministry.
Dean has already begun worshiping with us, meeting staff, and learning about the life of our congregation. During Anthony’s leave, he will lead Sunday worship, be in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays, and be available for pastoral care as needed.
We are grateful for Dean’s steady presence and thoughtful leadership and look forward to worshiping and serving together in the months ahead.
